Writing your master thesis is not an easy job. Take care of so many aspects of the thesis including guidelines and research work that sometimes very tiring and tough for some students. Managing time and organizing research work is the toughest hurdle. But, if your goal is fixed, if you are a good organiser, and if you are conscious about the deadlines, your task of master thesis becomes easier and smooth sailing.

Guidelines for writing an impulsive thesis

Writing a thesis is a tricky job. Here are the guidelines for a writing master’s thesis:

1. Be clear about the purpose of your thesis – Your first job is to understand the purpose of the thesis. That’s, why are you writing the thesis? A master’s thesis normally aimed to understand your knowledge on the topic and how far can you go with the topic? While doing the research paper work, you will gain lots of knowledge on the topic that you haven’t read so far. Sometimes, concentrate on the allied topics that might not have any direct connection with the thesis. All these are parts of your thesis writing journey. A master thesis is a clear demonstration of independent work and sometimes serves as a preparation for your doctoral thesis.
2. Topic selection – In fact, this is the most important part of your thesis writing. Be munificent in exploring different topics and select the one that you think challenging yet workable.
   • Don’t take an easy or below standard topic–your supervisor or university may not like it.
   • Take a challenging topic–Choose a topic that would open up some new aspects of the topic. But, don’t select too hard or challenging topics.
   • Ne rational while selecting a topic–Ensure that sufficient information is available on the topic. Don’t choose anything that requires lots of time or intensive searching.
3. Time management – This is the area where most of the students fail. Time management should be your primary goal in thesis writing. It’s not that suddenly in a fine morning I tell you to write the thesis and submit it within a week. Start early and complete your thesis within the deadline. In fact, your goal is to be to complete the thesis before the deadline. Just the moment you get the guidelines and deadline, develop a plan for yourself.
   • Project how much time you could invest in the thesis daily.
   • Segregate the time for different works involved in the thesis writing like lab work, visiting the library, surfing the internet, literature review, drafting, etc.
   • Try to complete the specific work daily and keep the focus on the time frame.
4. Plan the structure and consult with the mentor – Plan wants headings and subheadings will come and how you would provide tables, images, and other relevant data (if required).
   • Read the guidelines properly
   • Know what format you need to follow
   • Confirm the word limit and flexibility
   • Confirm the referencing style you have to follow.
5. Start drafting from the very beginning – Take the matter of drafting seriously. Go on drafting from the very beginning. Like, you think the literature review is a complete draft of the literature review part. If you think, you can now write the methodology and about your thesis purpose, you just draft it. As all the parts are completed, create a final draft.
6. Finalize the paper – As the final draft is written, now it is time to complete the assignment writing. Complete the thesis as per the guidelines and as your mentor suggests.
